What’s this site about you ask? Well, I’ve been called a procrastinator. Some would say that I lack motivation. Others might say that I’m just plain lazy. They’re all right, mostly. I have tons of ideas flowing in and out of my head during the day. Most never materialize into anything beyond an idea. Why is that? Perhaps it’s a fear of failure. Some ideas require some initial costs that I’m not willing to risk. But above all that, I am kind of lazy.
Last year, I finally put some ideas into motion. One was a niche site that I had been thinking about for most of 2009 and eventually launched early 2010. Now, this is part where I’d like to be able to write how I’m now making thousands of dollars per month. But the truth is: I’m not. In fact, for 2010 I lost about $100.00. The key is that I made revenue. I sold 21 units of a product for $10 each. Not much, but revenue nonetheless. One exciting factor is that the product did not launch until Sept 1st.
So, why Lazy Bastard Life? First, LazyBastard.com was already taken. Second, I’m embracing my laziness. But why Bastard? Growing up, my friend and I nicknamed people who had potential for more but never did anything as a Lazy Bastard. It’s ironic or bad karma that I’ve become that person I used to poke fun at.
So what are you going to get on this site? The majority will be How Tos on setting up a website to help build your ideas into action. There will be some off topic posts as well. I hope you enjoy reading and learning from this site.
